Disabled Element - Visual Effect

My development team recently (finally) upgraded our SSIS packages from BIDS in VS 2008 to SSDT in VS 2013. And there's been a complaint from many of the devs (most have "older eyes").

The complaint is that it's very difficult to tell the difference between a block in a package that is Disabled vs one that is Enabled. The only thing that changes is that black text goes to gray(and sometimes a mild icon change for certain elements).
In the older version of BIDS there was a more visually noticeable difference because the background changed from white to gray, making the difference very clear.

So I guess my question is 2 part. Is there a way that we're unaware of to change how the disabled vs enabled looks, to improve the contrast between the two? If not, is it possible that this feature could be added to BIDS Helper in the future?

I know this would be very helpful for many of our developers, especially those who's eye sight isn't what it used to be.
