SSAS: add deploy Perspectives

Hi
 
I feel that there is no good way of dealing with perspectives. I'd like to be abel to deploy them like you can do with MDX scripts.

The server does not support this capability therefore it is impossible for us to implement in BIDS Helper

i completely agree :) doesnt seem right to have to redeploy and reprocess just to modify a perspective.

You don't have to re-process when you deploy a perspective, but you do have to re-deploy the whole cube as a perspective is considered a "minor object" within the cube, where as the MDX script is a "major object" and as such can be deployed independently. This is a restriction of the XMLA language and there is no way for BIDS Helper to alter this.
